Buying

Shaw Auctions utilizes Hibid for all online auctions. To explore current, past, or upcoming auctions simply click on the “Auctions” tab at the top of the page. Clicking the link will take you to the Shaw Auctions home page on Hibid.com.

Online bidding is convenient! You can bid one time, many times, or even set a maximum bid and move on. To bid you’ll create an online bidding account or simply log on if you already have one. All items will end with a “soft close” meaning that if a bid is received in the final seconds, bidding will be extended for that item.

Payment is all online and items can be picked up the day after the auction. If you can’t make it to the designated pick up time, your items can be shipped (for an additional fee) or delivered (within 20 mile radius).

Some things to note

- Like many auction companies we do charge a buyer’s premium, which is a small percentage added to the total winning bid. The buyer’s premium and sales tax will be listed with the terms of each auction.

-We highly encourage bidders to come inspect items in person before bidding. Viewing times will also be listed with the terms of the auction.

Selling

Consignment- If you have valuable items that you would like to see fetch full market value, consignment is the way to go. We make consignment easy—either schedule a pick-up or a time to drop off your items. In addition, we cover all advertising and selling expenses. In return for our services, we will deduct a commission from the sale total for your items. Consignment rates vary depending on the value of the items to be sold. Buy Out- In addition to consignment, we also offer the option to buy your items up front. If this option sounds appealing to you, we will purchase your items and provide you with immediate payment.

Estates

An estate auction is a great route to go for complete liquidation of one’s assets. Whether it’s settling the estate of a loved one or downsizing out of a house, an estate auction is the best way to ensure your items are turned into cash.

When you’re ready to have an estate auction the Shaw Auction team will come to your property and organize all of the sale items into sellable lots. We will create the auction to run online, holding a viewing and pick up, just like a consignment auction. All you have to do is cash your check when the process is over!
